The Color Story | Beach HouseMonday, May 16, 2011

We pulled a shell from the beach and studied the multitude of whites, sand tones and hints of violet. These colors have an ephemeral quality that change in the sunlight and as you move upwards thru the house the pallet lightens.

Natural materials such as hemp, linen, cotton and whicker were used. Woven grass shades, white linen net sheers, hand painted bead board and white washed beams contribute to the sense of serenity and reinforce the harmony of the house and its connection to the beach.
